Say Hello

Hello! My name is Shannon (Onlam) Hui, and I am an interdisciplinary designer and urban planner with a deep passion for community-driven design and programming. I have led an award-winning proposal to reimagine the Brooklyn Bridge, advocated for affordable housing as a Norman Foster Foundation Scholar, and supported tenant and small business organizing efforts in the Lower East Side as an Association for Neighborhood & Housing Development/Morgan Stanley Community Development Fellow.

I hold an M.S. in Urban Planning from Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation, where I received the New York Chapter of the American Planning Association’s Award, and a B.A. in Architecture and Psychology, with a minor in Science and Public Policy, from Barnard College. Born and raised in Hong Kong, I spend my days supporting park development in underresourced communities, and my nights researching nighttime equity in New York City.

Thank you for stopping by! You’re welcome to stick around… I would love to hear from you. ◡̈
